My current work sits between spaces, often bringing together things that are slightly out of place, or where the distinction between inside and outside blurs.  The work in this show comes out of observing the nature of things and what I see as our current need to attend more closely to the natural world. My work seeks to show that ‘life’ is not confined to the human sphere, and that it is generated miraculously out of a fragile confluence of enfolded circumstances. Figure work however does focus on human life liking formal observation to characterisation. In sum my work seeks to find an animated realism.
