Carole Page Davies
Landscape is my predominant theme, in particular the forces of weather, erosion, growth and decay which shape landscape. Gradually, the relationship between the environment and “inner landscape” has come to the fore, through the colours and textures of nature combined with primal symbolic forms, e.g. crosses, circles and spirals.
In recent years, my work has been “earthed” by using physical elements of the actual landscape: sheep’s wool and dyes made from plants (many of which are grown in my garden.)
