I last updated this page in October 2020, during the strange and almost unbearable first year of the Covid-19 pandemic.

My practice had been around a longtime exploration of themes surrounding what it is to be human, in particular how we become who we are and our hidden selves.

Now it’s 2025 and the catastrophic impact we are as a species having on the earth is messing with my brain.

I hit a brick wall.

Now meaning(s) becomes slippery

down through the cracks

surfacing sometimes in the spaces between.

The materiality of  collaged paper with intuitive drawing and mark making, combine as fundamental elements of expression and create the scaffold for my work.

Then I wait, staring, til  something seeps through and ……………….I catch it if I can

I have lived and worked in Cornwall since 2003. I did my Foundation for Dip AD (Diploma in Art and Design) a long time ago and dropped out angry and disillusioned! I worked within the women’s movement through the 70s and 80s, then in social work, predominantly in the field of mental ill health.
