NSA member Volker Stocks is exhibiting at the Farsight Gallery in London
Volker Stox lives and works in West Penwith, Cornwall. .With an eclectic background in architecture and film-making he is unusual in being an artist who is almost exclusively using digital processes to make images. These works are collages and constructions, but they are made inside a computer using a variety of layering techniques and image-processing programmes. Printed onto canvas or paper they are, superficially, like paintings, but their colours are more artificial and their surfaces flatter… …This simple act creates an uncanny and original synthesis of the natural and technological sublime…..
