Looking Forward

‘After a year of being locked-down, shut-down and closed in, this show is a chance to reflect on past experiences, or look to the future and expand our horizons… Art can give us a way to explore our own souls – there has been a powerful energy in the NSA during these times of change and we’d like to invite people to come and share this. In the beautiful space of Tremenheere Gallery, you will undoubtedly find ‘Looking Forward’ thoughtful, serious, joyful, sometimes playful… and up-lifting’, Yolande Armstrong, Chair of the NSA.

As part of the EXPERIENCE project, the Cornwall Council team is looking to commission an artist/a consortium of artists to create an arts trail along the Marazion – Penzance Coast Path.

This is an exceptional opportunity to create an artistic landmark in Cornwall. This arts trail will encourage people to connect with Penzance’s cultural and natural assets, providing an opportunity for contemplation, reflection and engagement.

We are open to innovative and bold ideas and particularly welcome proposals that reflect outstanding and socially engaged practice. We expect the artworks to be sustainable in line with the project’s ethos encouraging sustainable tourism as well as cycling/walking along the path.

This is part of the EXPERIENCE project, co-funded by Cornwall Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg France (Channel) England programme under the Natural and Cultural Heritage funding category.
